Bowling for Sunshine
Not much except work happened on Thursday.
Friday:
Spent it in B'naider, or Kuwait's Malibu (as I like to call it). Visited Magazine Girl's beachhouse and got roasted again. Mag's husband bought 'his girls' a floating deck and anchored it some ways away off-shore, the tide was high and the wind blew in a south westerly direction, so it took a while to swim to it. Once on it, seasickness crept in about a half hour later... splash! Back to shore.
The water was surprisingly cold, but very refreshing nonetheless. the only thing I could have done without were the 2 dozen jetskiers in the area. They all zoom out at about 3'ish. Most annoying!
Later on that night I joined Desertgirl and her group of friends over at City Center's bowling alley.
Great bunch of guys. One of them, a Moroccan, who I think had never bowled in his life provided us with some laughs as he tried to bowl. Every swing almost led his nose to the floor. At one point he tried playing soccer by positioning the ball and kicking it down the alley. Needless to say, his game ended there with a cup full of ice and a pout.
Then there was Spasmo. Funny, funny man. Read on to find out how he earned his nickname. I have to say that he's the cantankerous one of the bunch and Desertgirl has maybe met her match?
Another one of the guys was wearing a dishdasha and on account of it refused to play, even though we tried getting him to.
Second round, I almost beat Spasmo who won the game.
All 7 of us went to Pizza Hut for a late, late dinner just as they were closing down, and this is where we laughed, and laughed, and laughed, and cried, and laughed. Spasmo had everyone at our table, including the next, in stiches. At first he choked a little on some peppered pizza and got into a fit of sneezes which were like held in spurts, but with added sound effects. Almost like a squeeze-toy.
Got home super late and zzz'ed.

Hey Don.. don't let DesertGirl catch you commenting on my blog! You know that you are now her property;-)
I'm having fun... successfully attempting to (so far). And how are you?
LoOoL.. I like “property”.. it feels that I am a stealth car that is always in the shop or something.. ;)
I’m ok.. :) pop your head in here once in a while, we’re practically family.. blogging family that is.. :)
"...a stealth car that is always in the shop or something"

Ya haram...
Okay, let me have a look at your blog... see u there.
Bnaider :-)
Memories, I started an internet cafe in Bnaider on the second floor on top of Pizza Hut and Burger King back in 1999, but then I left to NY for vacation and never came back, is it still there?
Howdy Pali,
Yes, Micky D's still stands near exit 264... and BK.
They are just waiting for you to come back;-)
